Chester NJ Girl Scout preaches benefits of abstinence

West Morris Central High School senior Samantha Shaw believes in waiting.

The 17-year-old Chester resident was recently awarded the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is the organization's highest award, for completing a 65 hour service project titled, "True Love Waits."

The program highlighted the importance of abstinence and was presented to religious education students at Our Lady of MountainParish in Long Valley.
