Car enthusiasts flock to vintage car show in Chester NJ

A vintage ambulance belonging to the Chester First Aid Squad earned the People's Choice award at the 10th annual Cruise 'N Shop Classic Car Show and Sidewalk Sale Sunday.

The ambulance, a 1973 Cadillac, responded to more than 5,000 calls in the 20 years it served the borough, and was the last Cadillac to be used as an ambulance in Chester, according to squad member Rob Cline. When it was retired, Cline said the borough replaced it with the newer, modular ambulances.
