West Morris Regional funding changes called 'very complicated'
A state education official on Thursday told residents from the five towns that make up the West Morris Regional High School District that no matter how they change the way the district is funded, a complicated process lies ahead.
The first step is for the five mayors to agree to fund a $50,000 feasibility study to examine the alternatives municipalities can take to redistribute funding, according to Chris Emigholz, of the state Department of Education’s legal affairs department.
