Comcast Corp., the nation's largest cable operator, said it wants to buy Patriot Media & Communications' cable systems for $483 million in cash.
Patriot Media serves 81,000 subscribers in central New Jersey. Comcast has 24.1 million subscribers across the region.
Comcast expects the deal to close in the third quarter.
