The New Jersey Highlands Council wants to weigh in on the development moratorium for the region's 88 municipalities under review by two state agencies.Â
Council Chairman John Weingart asked the staff to write a letter to the commissioners of the state Departments of Environmental Protection and Transportation offering the expertise of the council as the planning body for the 860,000-acre region and asking to be part of the decision-making process.
