Morris County 4-H will hold its 37th Annual Fair at the Chubb Park fairgrounds July 27 through July 29. Fair hours on Friday and Saturday are from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm, and on Sunday from 9:30 am to 4 pm.
The fair showcases the creativity and talent of Morris County youth and reward these young persons for their achievements. All Morris County children grades 1 through one year out of high school were invited to exhibit items they have created during the past year. Exhibit projects include flowers, vegetables, art, photos, stories, poems, sewing, cooking, crafts and woodworking.
Plus, there are numerous opportunities at the fair that encourage children and adults to link with the past as they participate in hands-on activities that are fun and educational. The "Farmer-for-a-Day" activity gives children the opportunity to pick apples, collect eggs and dig up potatoes. Children may also watch a model airplane demonstration, ride a pony, compete in a cake decorating contest, show their own pets at the Open Pet Show, enjoy a family Hay Ride, romp through the Hay Maze, pet a calf, goat or sheep, clown with real clowns, and, of course, have fun on the amusement rides.
On Friday from 10 am to 12 noon, there will be a special $7 Pay-One-Price offer for Kiddie Rides followed later on by a special $20 Pay-One-Price deal from 6:00 pm till 10:00 pm.
