Council expected to OK deal for Alcatel-Lucent property
The borough council is expected to authorize the mayor to execute a $5.7 million contract to purchase the 98-acre Alcatel-Lucent tract on North Road for open space.
Residents are invited to have their say on the deal and on what the property could be used for during a public hearing at Tuesday's council meeting. Some 64 acres of the tract will be deemed open space with the remaining 34 acres zoned for municipal use.
