70 trees grace annual Chester festival

Senior Resource Center to benefit from auction of holiday evergreens
Fred and Sharon Alworth, trying to decide on which decorated Christmas tree to bid on Saturday, were divided between two equally deserving choices.
Sharon was partial to one labeled "Country Christmas," while Fred had his heart set on "Grandma's Darlings."
Why the Grandma tree, Fred was asked near the end of the sixth annual Festival of Trees auction fundraiser -- a week-long celebration culminating Saturday at the magnificently decorated Barn at Highlands Ridge Park.
He explained that his mother has six grandchildren, ages 4 to 13 -- and that he hoped to give the tree to her.
