Chesters may take new look at merger

Joint study considered by township, borough

The governing bodies of the township and borough are moving ahead to explore the possible merger of the two municipalities.

Officials met Tuesday morning to discuss a joint resolution that approves the creation of a study commission and details the process for the study that may end in a referendum asking residents to vote on a consolidation.
